There is talk that the fraternity implicated in the aforementioned photos has taken moves to bring down the Picturetrail page. This is understandable; fraternity hazing being a criminal act under the Republic Act No. 8049, or the Anti-Hazing Law. There is, of course, also the issue of university student council elections tomorrow, where a member of the said fraternity is currently in the running for chairperson.
In the event that the Picturetrail page is taken out, I am inclined to put up the photos here in this blog. Yet lest I incur its wrath (similar to what fratman Joker Arroyo did to Lozada), I will leave the fraternity’s name unmentioned. For now.
A friend emailed me regarding the photos. He is an alumnus of one of the College of Engineering-based fraternities , and he says in a scale of 1 to 10, the hazing photos are a “1.” Meaning, fraternity initations are lot worse than what the photos depict. Says he: “Dumaan ako sa ganyang initiation noong 1963 kaya may ideya ako ng levels of torture, este physical initiation.😉. It is really a barbaric way of testing one’s determination to join a group, no doubt about it. So when I was already a frat man I did not engage in it.”
Here are the pictures, in the order that it is placed in the Picturetrail page:
